1974
IMBM, the ancestor of DATC, was founded in Moudon, Switzerland, specialising in the manufacture of tools for use in oil drilling and in the manufacture of diamond core bits for core drilling in mining and geotechnical work. Because of the high quality of our products, our produced tools started gaining international attention.
1994
IMBM became DATC (acronym for Diamond And Tungsten Carbide) and setted up in Besançon (France), with a brand new production site, more efficient and versatile.
2003
DATC extended its range of products and became a supplier of worldwide drilling solutions for a demanding clientele in over 30 countries. With its range of some 10,000 products in stock, DATC had the ability to adopt a policy based on quality, flexibility and the ability to respond quickly to customer requirements.
2012-2013
Development of the ELITE range of mining crowns with 10 high-performance variants to ensure better grinding and extended durability.
2014-2015
Development of the mining range of cores rods for holes : from large to very deep until 2500-3000 meters. Development of a new T6-116 and T6S-116 wireline core barrels for geotechnicians.
Obtention of the official ISO 9001 certification.
2016-2017
Development of core barrels WL-U for upright or horizontal holes.
Creation of DATC GERMANY
Renewal of our ISO 9001 certification.
